So I went to my HD to check out the catalog and open it up that way. All the folders are there but no data is inside the folders.

My Mac sees the HD and it mounts property but it shows no data inside the folders.

When I check the files it says there are “Zero KB on Disk”

The HD is a Western Digital 1 TB. The HD says that there is 413 GB available so I’m assuming that the other 500+ GBs of space is my work?

I also can’t seem to eject the HD when I try to.

Any possible help or suggestions on recovering my data, if it can be, would be amazing.

The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember.

Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.

The idea for Movember was sparked in 2003 over a few beers in Melbourne, Australia. The plan was simple – to bring the moustache back as a bit of a joke and do something for men’s health. No money was raised in 2003, but the guys behind the Mo realized the potential a moustache had in generating conversations about men’s health. Inspired by the women around them and all they had done for breast cancer, the Mo Bros set themselves on a course to create a global men’s health movement.

In 2004 the campaign evolved and focused on raising awareness and funds for the number one cancer affecting men – prostate cancer. 432 Mo Bros joined the movement that year, raising $55,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia – representing the single largest donation they had ever received.

The Movember moustache has continued to grow year after year, expanding to the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, the Netherlands and Finland.

In 2009, global participation of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas climbed to 255,755, with over one million donors raising $42 Million US equivalent dollars for Movember’s global beneficiary partners.

The funds raised through Movember’s US campaign benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

The PCF uses the money raised by Movember to fund research that is accelerating the discovery of better treatments and ultimately finding a cure for prostate cancer. One such program is the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center’s research, which has recently made a significant breakthrough. They identified 24 different kinds of prostate cancer and how aggressive each is. This should enable scientists to soon be able to answer the agonizing question facing men with prostate cancer: does their cancer need immediate treatment, and if so what is the best treatment, or can it be left alone?

LIVESTRONG uses the money raised by Movember to fund important programs to support young adults and their families battling and surviving cancer. These programs include:

• Fertile Hope, an initiative dedicated to providing reproductive information, support and hope to cancer patients and survivors whose medical treatments present the risk of infertility.

• My Planet, an online community of peer support that allows young adults to find and communicate with other young adults whose lives have been affected by cancer.

• Continuing Nursing Education program on Young Adult Cancer Survivorship. LIVESTRONG encourage nurses to know the warning signs of cancer, understand what types of cancer for which young adults may be at risk, and learn about cancer screening.

The success of Movember can be directly attributed to the more than 627,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas who have supported our cause since 2003. Movember is sincerely grateful for their efforts and appreciates all they do.

I will post a more in-depth blog on Tuesday about my trip to Philly and how everything went while I was there. I even have some awesome behind the scenes stuff from Redrum Collaboration!

As I was riding down to the post office a man bombs out of a parking lot and smashed right into me. He did not look both ways and he did not even look at me. After he hit me he just kept going and drove away. So I ended up flipping over the handle bars and becoming best friends with the pavement. I smashed my chin and head off the ground which took most of the impact. An old Spanish gentlemen who spoke broken English helped me out of the road because I got thrown into on coming traffic and he grabbed the bike too. I had no idea the severity of what my injuries were. The old man told me I was bleeding and I took my hand and touched my face and felt bone on my chin. Lots of flesh and bone. So I took my beanie and just covered my chin. Of course in Dustin fashion I asked the old man to take a photo of me with my iPhone so I could document this fine occasion.

I called a good friend of mine to come pick me up because I did not want to pay the $2,000 it is to ride in a ambulance even though I probably should have but I am stubborn like that. As we got to the hospital I told the people in the ER that I got hit by a car and they freaked out! They rushed me to Triage and started running all theses tests on me.

So after being in the hospital for most of the day and being poked and prodded and injected with this and that and had blood drawn. I also ended up getting a CT Scan, MRI, EKG, X-Rays, and 24 amazing stitches in my face.

In total I was at the hospital for 14 hours. I was told that I had 2 ligaments detach from my upper spine and a very very tiny bone chipped off my spine as well. They wanted to run an MRI on me and I refused because after being in the same position all day I was being stubborn because I was tired and wanted to go home.  My roommate LJ insisted and he put up a good argument as did Erinn and Steve as to why I should get the test. So to make all my friends happy I did it. But of course unknown to my knowledge MRI’s cost like $3,000!

So they discharge me with stitches, pain meds, a goofy brace, and a note not to work for almost a week. Fine by me I literally felt like I got hit by a car.

Literally that following Monday, the accident was on a Thursday, I got the first bill! Then that Wednesday I got another bill! The first bill was for the hospital stay and all the testing the second bill was for “repair superficial wound” aka my stitches. They don’t even wait or give you time to heal. I never had a problem with the medical industry in America till that day.

Here is were I need your help.

I have medical insurance. But it’s not covering all of the hospital bill. I am a recent college graduate who works retail right now barely living paycheck to paycheck and making ends meat. I know everyone out there has a similar story to mine when it comes to medical bills or other bills. The medical insurance places are already calling me daily to pay them, which I cannot at the moment, so I need your help! The hospital bill is over $7,000 and the second bill is over $800. My total bill for this visit is close to $8,000!

I’m not asking you to help donate hundreds or thousands of dollars but if you could donate $1, $5, $10 it will add up and help me keep them off my back for the time being.
